Another acoustic number from the Heyer house on 5/6/2021, this song was one of the first I brought into Flowmotion back in the day. I've always felt a little nostalgic when I play this one, for long-lost friends and faded memories, and it still makes me tear up a bit when I think about friends no longer on this plane of existence. But the song is meant to always push ahead, and even as we remember those times not get pulled into a vortex of sadness.
lyrics
There are people in our lives there for a season
You could wake up tomorrow and find they have gone
And the rest of the world could have a breakdown of reason
But don’t get me wrong
Keep plugging away, still looking for the right answer
To a question that stopped being asked so long ago
And time feels like it keeps slipping faster and faster
But where, oh where does it go?
It’s not there, it’s not here
And you can draw your own conclusions
All this fear, don’t be scared,
There’s more than one way to start a revolution.
Different sides to every story
Depends on who is taking all the glory
So don’t let me down
You can turn to the east, and wait for the sunrise
Even though it wasn’t long ago it set in the west
It never fails, when it finally comes, it will still be a surprise
So please don’t forget
